Before & After – A Timeless Kitchen Remodel

With the holidays approaching, and more time being spent at home – what better time to remodel your space? This Kitchen Remodel was one of our favorites. This kitchen was close to 50 years old and in need of a modern-day upgrade! The clients called our Kitchen Designers to give the space a face lift, bring in some brightness, and make it feel effortlessly fresh but they also needed it be functional for their busy family.

Our Kitchen Design team got to work and began designing the space in 3D.

Our team proceeded to remove the wall between the kitchen and the living room, removed the flooring and updated the appliances and cabinetry. For cabinetry, the client selected a beautiful maple macchiato classic by medallion and maple, white icing classic. (To learn more about Medallion, their cabinets and processes, watch this).

The new kitchen island was added and is now a great space for the family to gather, it also has tons of storage space and a microwave to boot. The kitchen also features a double oven built within the cabinetry so that the family can save time cooking and host even more guests.

In addition to the new kitchen, our team also added a home office where they can work but also be included in kitchen conversation.

Lastly, our team of cabinet experts created a built-in for the living room for the family to place décor and have a nice fireplace to gather around.

We believe in sound design/build remodeling and creating a space where everyone feels at home. We are so happy our clients get to enjoy their space again and that they will be able to make memories in it for years to come!

Modern Kitchen Magic

We are so excited to finally be sharing the project that has the whole office talking. Complete with a built in fish tank, double ovens, and dual islands among other stunning features, this modern kitchen project is one we won’t soon forget.

The saying that “the kitchen is the heart of the home” rings true for our most recent clients whose kitchen remodel falls nothing short of striking. Our clients envisioned an optimal setting to cook and entertain, thus the addition of barstool seating and plenty of counter space.

Their design was customized to accentuate what is important to them, including but not limited to providing a focal home for their fish.

With a herringbone stone backsplash and farmhouse corbels, we showcased our clients beautiful range and paneled vent hood combination.

Carrying the same level of detail throughout, we installed a farmhouse sink, a gooseneck faucet, and soapstone quartz countertops atop shaker-style cabinets.

Spanning the top most level of cabinetry are mullion accented glass cabinet doors equipped with recessed lights.

Also featured is undermount cabinet lighting that illuminates appliances without the intensity of additional pendant and recessed ceiling lights.

From customized cabinet spice racks to secondary pantry storage, this kitchen has a place for everything, even a small wine fridge and pressure cooker.

We are so honored to have delivered on our clients dreams. Yours could be next.

How to Successfully Remodel YOUR Kitchen

The kitchen is typically where you’ll see the highest financial return on your investment, putting time and money into this room makes sense. When remodeling a kitchen, it is important focus on functionality as well as making the space beautiful. Here are our suggestions for remodeling your kitchen to fit your needs.

What Are You Going to Do in The Room?

Of course, you will be cooking, but that’s not all. Before remodeling, create a list of how else you will use the room. Do you want to entertain and have your guests gather in the kitchen? Consider a large island with plenty of seating. Do you love your morning coffee? Maybe a coffee bar is a worthy addition.

Sneaky Storage

In our opinion, you can never have enough storage places. When designing your cabinets, consider how you will want to store your items and appliances. Find a cabinet designer who can suggest ideas for hiding your appliances but also make them easily accessible for when you need them!

Add Personal Touches

Your kitchen is most likely a room you and your family will spend a lot of time in, make sure you make it a place you want to be! You can do this by adding personal touches to the room, displaying a piece of art or your favorite cookbook is a great place to start.

Don’t Forget Lighting!

The kitchen is a room where lighting is crucial. Lighting helps show off your design elements and helps you see when using sharp tools. For your kitchen, evaluate the work areas and focus on providing each spot with the light it needs. Consider adding lighting directly above all the main work areas.

Whether you’re considering simple updates to your kitchen or a complete remodel be sure to take the time to focus on functionality and making it a beautiful place for you and your family to gather!
